Razer Lachesis is a solid mouse doing quite well everything it advertises, Nice cored, gold plated USB 2.0?, Soft plastic finish and feel. Only problems I had with it was that It took some getting use to since my old mouse was rather small and the Lachesis is pretty big, also the software(macros?) that came with the mouse is alittle clumsy and doesn't work on all games actually It hasn't worked on any games thus far. But aside from those two problems which i easily worked around with in a week or so the mouse is grate even for left handers like me.

Great mouse, some come with hiccups like the moving pointer. My first one had that problem and the firmware update fixes it. I had it when it first came out. The side buttons are harder to press than one usually likes. you can make them more sensitive, but the guide requires you to open your mouse. I researched all new mice and found this one to be the best especially for the price compared to the others. The only mouse I could think that would be better is the First Razer Diamondback style and the Lachesis precision.

I bought it because at the time not many accessories glowed red like the inside of my case, but after about 4 years of usage, the last two years have been moderately annoying. The mouse works well enough but occasionally skips or simply bugs out intermittently - which sucks when you're in the middle of a game. Regardless, I still haven't spent the money to replace it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Wanted this to be a great mouse, due to the extra buttons...

I own a Razer Copperhead and wanted to have a Copperhead with two extra buttons I could program that were within easy access below the wheel. This mouse appeared to have everything. Then I got it.

Two extra buttons are irrelevant if the mouse can't even track well on a high-end gaming mouse pad. I'm not the first person to complain about this, either. I've never before had a mouse that was sluggish no matter what dpi setting I put it at, nor the acceleration rate. I wanted a Copperhead with 9 buttons, and got a rolling ball-mouse that barely moved.

I do not recommend this product to anyone, least of all gamers.

Razer usually makes a good product I own a Razer Copperhead and have enjoyed it for the past 2 years so when I needed a new mouse I went with the Lachesis the problems I found came to light after a couple of weeks when the button assignments kept dropping out of memory and had to be reprogrammed every other day the tracking became very jerky not smooth like it should be ended up returning the mouse for a refund and will be trying a different brand.
