No one knows Rangpani in Sylhet is such a beautiful place

Hello my friends how are you? In today's blog I'm going to the place that is hidden from the public eye until now and about 54km far away from Sylhet city to Rangpani near Jaflong So you read the whole blog. So guys we just got off the bus and it's a short walk from the bus. Here you will see a Sripur tea garden. From there it will take about 10-15 minutes to walk.

Rangpani is located in Sripur area of Jaintapur upazila next to it is the Khasias village they call it Mukampunji village. Next to it is the Rangpani river in the border area of Bangladesh and India. This place is like Shada Pathor and Jaflong. And since many years this area has been hidden from the public eye almost unknown to tourists. So not many people come here.

The word 'sri' means beautiful almost so beautiful that it is full of natural beauty, hence this area was named 'Sripur'. The water of this river on the border of Bangladesh and Indian has come from 'Ronghongkong' falls in Jainta hill. And many or people of this area said, this stone quarry is also well known as 'Rangpani Stone Quarry'.

Rangpani is next to the river, in Mukampunji, a village of khasias. The Mukampunji area has many historical traditions. Khasiyas call their area or village as punji. Many scenes of Naeem Shabnaz pair of Bengali films have been made here. Many films have been taken of Mokampunji and this Rangpani area.

To come here a little after Sripur from Jaintapur, you will see the tea garden and get of the bus. From tea garden to Mukampunji a little village of Khasias. You can come to Rangpani by walking along the narrow path of the village. I think there is no need to take any guide to come here and there is no need to pay any money. For years this area is hidden from the public eye. And many people don't kmow about this area. Moreover, this beautiful place with immense potential still remains unknown to people.

From Mokampunji you will see the steep narrow path going down. There are many stones big and small in Rangpani and these stones are scattered in this area. Stones were quarried from this river long ago. In the last two to three years, the quantity of stones taken from the river has reduced considerably. So the river regained its former beauty.

First you from Sylhet bus stand or from Subhanighat bus stand you can come by gate lock bus service. Three kilometers from Jainta Bazar will come down at Sripur tea garden. A short walk from the tea garden or half a kilometer walk through the Mukampunji area then you will come in Rangpani. And the bus fare will be around 150 taka. You can have breakfast or launch at horipur or Jainta Bazar. Besides, there are no good restaurants or shops in Mukampunji area.

People of this area picking up stones from Rangpani river always. I roamed around all the stones area. Look at the waterfalls in the distance, Rangpani river's water is coming from Rong Hong Kong falls in Jainta hill. Which side is Indian border. I could not go there at Rangpani river main branch because of it is indian border which is a ban from Bangladesh Border Guard. A small branch leaves here and goes back to the main river. Tourists are very less. We have crossed many big and small stones in water after struggling from Bangladesh side to that direction.

My younger brother Abdus Samad is with me, he didn't want to come here and see it is a beautiful place. Whistle called because we forgot to cross the Indian border. We are again coming to the border of Bangladesh with the whistle of flute, because Rangpani is entirely in no man's land.

Khasia's children playing football at bank of Rangpani river on its sand. There I saw a player injured. I don't understand their language what they say. I saw there a border guard brother is monitoring everything. Not allowing to go across the Rangpani river. We went to the other side and forgot.

All the high mountains of India and only this low area of Bangladesh. This shrub of Rangpani bears fruits like tomatoes on the shoots. They look like tomatoes but are not tomatoes. Going up from the Rangpani and as I told you guys I will go through Mokampunji area. We have risen from far above. Very hot, the weather was not very good. It was 37 degrees because coming in summer. It's so bad to sweat in the heat. So a little adventurous area. The more fun you have for the adventure, the harder it will be. We left very late this Friday the bus left at 3:10pm I got off the bus at 4:20pm and came to the spot around 4:30pm Now evening 6:00pm It will be evening after about half an hour.

I'm now inside the house of the Khasias through a small narrow path walking through this Mokampunji village. We saw they have a cemetry and a monument. Look at their homes very neat and clean. There are so many Jackal on the tree and everywhere you go in Mokampunji you will find Khasiya's betel leaves. Every tree has a betel leaves. And we are exiting through the Mokampunji area through the narrow path. View of India from Mokampunji area stunning view I loved that. There are so many cactus. Look at the barge of betel leaves. I can't explain how many betel leaves and nut trees are there.
