Historical Bahadur Shah Park is standing near Sadarghat in old Dhaka. It is located on the west side of Jagannath University and in the north-west district court. Earlier it was named Victoria Park. Bahadur Shah Park was named after Bahadur Shah Jafar, the symbol of the unity of the war, in order to show respect for the martyrs of the sepoy revolutions of 1857.
