Hello, everyone. I hope you are all well. Today, I will share with you about a very interesting day I spent visiting a museum.

Made From

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the architect of independent Bangladesh, is a history; his house is also a history. House number 32 of Dhanmondi is the witness of independent Bangladesh. It was in this house that he spent the important period of his life guiding the nation in its struggle for independence. The building of the house also has a history. The house carries those memories. It is now the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum.

My mother and I both planned the previous night that we would visit Bangabandhu's house in the morning. Then, in the morning, we took a rickshaw to the science lab intersection. There was some need in college, so after finishing the work in my college, we took a rickshaw from the Science Lab intersection to Dhanmondi 32. From Science Lab to Dhanmondi 32, it takes Tk 50 by

rickshaw. Then go in front of the house and cut two tickets for 5 taka per person. Leave all the bags and phones at the ticket counter and enter. The museum is open 6 days a week except Wednesday from 10 am to 6 pm. On entering the museum building, one can see the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on 1st floor. History is presented through pictures in the

first room of the museum on the 1st floor. At that time, there were photographs of Bangabandhu's interaction and exchange of greetings with the governments and heads of state of different countries.

This room was the drawing room. Where Bangabandhu had a meeting with various political figures of the country and abroad. The room next to this room was Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's reading room. He also used to write while sitting here. From here, he sent the Declaration of Independence in 71. While climbing up the stairs, you can still see the signs of the night's riots. Apart from this, there is a portrait of Bangabandhu in the bullet-ridden state painted by the artist. The first room found on the second floor was Bangabandhu's living room. After that, the first room was his bedroom; the next room was Sheikh Rehana's bedroom.

Various memorials of Bangabandhu and his family members are now displayed in these rooms. It's not just a family memorial. They are an important chapter in the history of a nation. Among the various exhibits here are Sheikh Russell's toys like- a ball, hook, bat, helmet, his picture with Sultana Kamal, etc. Besides, there are various items, including pipes and glasses used by Bangabandhu.

Bangabandhu's house was stained with his blood in the early hours of August 15, 1975. The assassins killed Bangmata Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib, Sheikh Kamal, Sheikh Jamal, Sheikh Russell, Sheikh Abu Nasser, Sultana Kamal Khuku, and Parveen Jamal Rozi one by one. On that day, a total of 8 members of Bangabandhu's family were brutally killed. The house was converted into a museum on August 14, 1994, by the joint decision of Bangabandhu's two surviving children, Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana.

The people of Bangladesh will never forget this heinous murder in history. Therefore, Bangabandhu's house number 32 is a history in independent-sovereign Bangladesh. The history that will remain embedded in people's hearts forever. Bangabandhu Museum will spread that history among people.

After visiting the museum, we took our bags and phone from the ticket counter. I was walking and seeing the beautiful environment of Dhanmondi Lake. After that, my mother and I sat on the bank of this lake and had tea and bhelpuri together. We had a perfect day today.
