The Iranian Ambassador to Bangladesh pays tribute to Father of Nation

The Iranian Ambassador to Bangladesh visited Bangabandhu Memorial Museum in the capital's Dhanmondi and paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The Iranian Ambassador also penned a heartfelt message in the memorial book dedicated to the legendary leader of Bangladesh:

Today I have been provided with the privilege of visiting the house of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of Bangladesh nation, who is one of the peerless and most symbolic political figures of the 20th century.

Every corner of this old but glorious house reminds us of the bitter and sweet memories which make up for the important portion of the whole historical memory of the Bangladesh nation. History testifies that golden pages of the political life of this land were turned in various humble spots of this historical structure. The glory of this house is sufficiently evident in the smiles it has witnessed belonging to its leader.

This house which has now been turned into a national and valuable museum, is indeed reminiscent of the bitter and sweet memories of a man with whose will and liberation struggles the contemporary history of Bangladesh took shape. The man who led his nation to independence with his revolutionary spirit and belief in the simplicity of life as well as in the strength of his own people. The man who devoted his life and soul to the independence and struggles of his motherland. Without a doubt, the collective memory of Bangladesh will never forget the title of “Bangabandhu” because the national identity of Bangladesh has been bound to the name of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The memory of Sheikh Mujib will be forever alive in the hearts of the people of Bangladesh.

Long live Bangabandhu , long live Bangladesh.
